Territory Manager (Academic) – HYBRID (Cerritos, CA) - InBody

About the Role:  

We are looking for a Territory Manager, Academic to actively seek out and engage prospective customers to meet or exceed set quotas and goal objectives focused on the academic industry.  The candidate will be responsible for outreach and clients in a variety of academic settings, ranging from K-12 public and private schools, community colleges, universities, trade schools, and more. The candidate will work to build and maintain relationships with departments within these organizations, including but not limited to wellness programs, recreation centers, athletics, community outreach programs, and more.  

The ideal candidate has a hunger for building customer relationships and aligning customer priorities with InBody’s values with experience working with the end users and purchasing departments within academic institutions. We’re looking for an optimistic self-starter with experience as a highly motivated and results-driven sales representative. This is a full-time, hybrid position at our office located in Cerritos, CA reporting to the National Sales Manager. 

Essential Responsibilities: 

• Demonstrate, promote, and sell InBody’s professional line of Body Composition Analyzers - Strategically present functionality and key value propositions to prospective customers to meet and exceed sales quota. 

• Develop and foster relationships - Maintain close communications with existing and prospective clients to close sales and promote customer retention.   

• Execute sales strategies - Adhere to current and any updated strategies, KPI’s and policies.   

• Meet and exceed targets - Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual individual and team sales quota and goals for new customer acquisition.  

• Track progress and results - Record prospect interactions and track goal attainment in CRM system. 

• Research and understand target market - Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and InBody’s overall market opportunity. 

Essential Qualifications: 

• Bachelor's degree or four (4+) years of relevant work experience 

• One or more (1+) years of sales experience with a proven track record of meeting and/or exceeding quota and working with the end users and purchasing departments within academic institutions 

• Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications 

• Type 40+ WPM 

• Ability to handle rejection and maintain high daily call volume (50+/day)   

• Proficiency with CRM software (Zoho)  

• Demonstrate a track record of identifying and closing new business using a consultative and collaborative approach 

• Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines  

• Exceptional oral and written communication skills, including persuasive negotiation, public speaking, and presentations 

• Strong critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills   

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record   

• Travel (up to 10%) for business trips and tradeshows   

• Must be able to commute to the office located in Cerritos, CA 

Bonus Qualifications: 

• Three or more (3+) years of sales experience with a proven record of meeting and exceeding quota in fitness, nutrition, medical device, pharmaceutical, and/or related field

Annual Salary Range: 

$55,000 - $68,000 base + uncapped commission
