Tenure Track Position in Elementary Education / Special Education
The Education Department at Covenant College, an agency of the Presbyterian Church in America, invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in Elementary Education/Special Education with appointment beginning July 1, 2025. Covenant College is an academically rigorous Christian four-year, residential college emphasizing the liberal arts in the Reformed and Presbyterian tradition.
The candidate who fills this position will be an excellent and experienced teacher, dedicated to developing further as a Christian scholar, and enthusiastic about active participation in the college and larger community, along with a commitment to the historic Reformed faith and the desire to teach consistently from that perspective.
The Teacher Education Program at Covenant College aims to prepare competent and compassionate teachers who practice their profession according to biblical guidelines in diverse educational settings. Candidates develop the knowledge, skills, and dispositions to become teachers who model life-long learning and faithful service to God as change-agents in society.
The Teacher Education Program at Covenant College is responsible for the overall leadership, administration, and operation of undergraduate and graduate programs in Elementary Education and Master of Arts in Teaching.
The Teacher Education Program is seeking candidates with K-5th grade teacher certification, teaching experience, and an advanced degree in special education. Candidates must have a master's degree or higher. Rank and compensation are commensurate with experience.
