Responsibilities

• Schedule health & wellness department work hours, including vacation and holiday schedules, shift and work assignments.
• Create and manage Templates in Onshift to match staffing requirements and budget.
• Post the schedule in Onshift at least 2 weeks in advance.
• Fill all open shifts for Nursing Assistants, Med Techs and Nurses by contacting back up associates according to established procedures using OnShift messaging.
• Assist with managing health & wellness team member call outs.
• Prepare, print and post daily assignment sheets for Resident Assistants, Med Techs and Nurses.
• Communicate open shift hiring needs to the Director of Health and Wellness and Business Office Manager.
• Train new employees on using the OnShift application to access their schedules, request shifts and respond to messages

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current Registered Medical Aide (RMA) Certification through the Virginia Board of Health Professions preferred.
• Ability to respond to texts & phone calls in a timely manner.
• Must read, write, speak and understand English.
• Patience, tact, enthusiasm, and positive attitude towards all team members and the elderly.
• Previous experience in a healthcare-related community or equivalent, preferably assisted living.
• Knowledge or willingness to learn computer programs used in the community.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
