Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English;
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills;
Ability to exercise good judgment and flexibility;
Ability to work independently while contributing to an overall team effort;
Ability to respectfully and professionally manage alumni information; and
Demonstrated experience working with clerical and administrative tasks.
PREFERRED:
BA in relevant field (e.g. language, education, international affairs, area studies);
Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel;
Experience drafting survey instruments and online forms using tools such as SurveyMonkey and Airtable;
Experience working with a database, basic data analysis and the use of data for public communications;
Experience creating promotional materials in Canva;
Ability to communicate with clarity and precision to diverse audiences, specifically racially, ethnically, and socioeconomically diverse communities;
Experience with study abroad or international exchange; and
Study, work, or travel experience overseas experience in a CLS host region preferred.

Employment is contingent on successful background screening.
This position is temporary from approximately August – December 2024. At the end of this appointment, American Councils will work with the candidate to identify opportunities at American Councils if they wish, but there is no guarantee of continuing employment.
