Temporary Accountant - Spherion

Spherion Staffing has a part-time Temporary Accountant position available in the Fargo area. The Accountant is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely accounting of all transactions and assure all proper procedures and internal controls are in place. Analyze financial information and prepare financial reports to determine or maintain record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities.


Pay $25-35/hour DOE
Part time 20-25 hours/week

Responsibilities:
-Accounts payable and accounts receivable, including communicating with business partners to research and resolve reconciling items and outstanding issues
-Maintain schedules required for annual audit and tax returns
-Process intercompany transactions and reconcile intercompany postings
-Maintain general ledger to include the preparation of journal entries
-Conduct account reconciliations and analysis
-Assist in the company's monthly and annual closing
-Update and maintain debt schedules
-Assist with preparation of financial statements and supplementary reports
-Organize and maintain confidential files and reports
-Other duties as assigned

Experience:
1-4 years

Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required
-Must have a minimum of two years in an accounting role
-Computer experience, Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Accounting software is Yardi
-Demonstrate a high visual accuracy and attention to detail
