Job Description
As a member of the General Accounting team this position will perform full cycle accounts functions. We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join the General Accounting team at a very exciting time for our company.
This position reports to the Accounting Manager for Camelbak and allows you the flexibility to work from your home office.
As the Sr Staff Accountant, you will have an opportunity to:
+ Complete reconciliations related to Bank Accounts, Accounts Receivable, Intercompany, and other various Current Asset and Liability accounts.
+ Investigate and determine proper accounting treatment for various transactions and reconciling items in accordance with GAAP and Company Policies
+ Meet all monthly closing deadlines
+ Prepare Journal Entries related to assigned reconciliations and tasks
+ Determine transactions that need to be accrued for
+ Work with other members of the Staff Accounting team to solve problems as they may arise
+ Document and ensure proper keeping of financial procedures, making use of current technologies and providing suggestions for improvement
+ Perform special projects, analysis, prepare forms and other accounting duties as requested
+ Comply with all Internal Controls and SOX procedures
+ Complete complex projects and assignments with a high degree of autonomy
+ Support reporting needed for 10K and 10Q filings.
You have:
+ Minimum 5-10 years’ experience, including public accounting and/or relevant industry experience
+ Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
+ CPA license preferred
+ Possess a strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
+ Advanced knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Products
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills
+ Strong analytical and problem solving skills
+ Ability to meet deadlines and complete tasks in a timely manner
+ Ability to multitask and balance competing priorities and deadlines
+ SAP experience is an asset
You might have:
+ CPA License
+ 5-10 Years of Accounting Experience
