The salary range for this position is $44.00 - $50.00 per hour based upon a San Francisco location. Offered salary is dependent upon experience and location. Kendo Brands has a hybrid work model with three days in office and two days remote each week.
We are seeking a talented Production Designer for our visual merchandising team with a strong background in print design and expertise in working with complex visual merchandising fixtures. As a Production Designer at Kendo, you'll play a crucial role, ensuring the seamless execution of visually stunning designs within intricate dieline structures. Your attention to detail, technical proficiency, project management and problem-solving skills will be instrumental in delivering high-quality designs.
This hybrid role will require a combination of 2-3 days a week in the San Francisco office and the remainder remote WFH.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with the creative team to develop and refine design concepts.
- Work with Visual Merchandising Managers to refine vendor provided dielines so that they adhere to project requirements.
- Translate concepts into branded production-ready assets, adhering to project guidelines and brand standards, consulting previous iterations, and using (or creating) reusable standards and templates wherever available.
- Apply your knowledge of printing processes and materials to optimize the production workflow and ensure accurate implementation.
- Support the team in the preparation and delivery of files for external vendors, ensuring specifications and deadlines are met.
- Conduct thorough reviews and proofing of artwork files to ensure that they are high quality and accurate.
- Maintain a strong understanding of industry trends, emerging techniques, workflows, and best practices related to production design to continuously improve skills.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth production and delivery.
Requirements:
- Experience in Adobe Creative Cloud including InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
- 5+ years' experience as a Production Designer or equivalent creative role in an agency or in-house setting with a focus on print design and working with complex fixture dielines.
- Strong understanding of printing processes
- Attention to detail and ability to work meticulously on several projects at one time with pixel-perfect designs.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with cross-functional teams.
- Portfolio showcasing previous print experience.
