Top NYC Healthcare Firm is looking for an experienced, detail-oriented, dedicated individual to join its Department of Pathology for a Temporary Eight (8) Month Assignment as a Pathology Office Coordinator . This department consists of disease-specific pathologists, molecular diagnosticians, and researchers with expertise in a range of solid tumor types as well as hematopathology. Our pathologists collaborate with other specialists to customize each patient's treatment based on his or her individual diagnosis. Molecular pathology and precision medicine are increasingly vital components of the work we do. In the role, you will provide an array of administrative duties/tasks to support the Department/Team .

REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS
- High School Diploma or GED required; College Degree preferred, but not required.
- Experience Working in a Lab or Medical Setting required.
- Minimum One (1) Year of Administrative/Clerical Experience required.
- Familiarity with Databases and Research Materials.
- Proven Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Programs required.
- Proven Ability to Prioritize Tasks in a Fast-paced Environment.
- Dedicated to providing outstanding service, producing quality work products, and maintaining an atmosphere of partnership and continuous improvement.
- Able to work effectively in an energizing environment, balance multiple tasks, and respond to changing priorities.
- Capable of performing clerical tasks with a high degree of accuracy and setting priorities to see projects through completion.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review patient chart and/or online systems (DMS, CoPath) and retrieve supporting documents as necessary.
- Contact physicians and patients in accordance with study requirements, to obtain and/or clarify relevant data.
- Assist pathologist in compiling data for the preparation of manuscripts for publication. Format data for submission as necessary.
- Prepare correspondence, charts, or other narrative and statistical materials using the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Uses appropriate reference manuals to verify accuracy (medical dictionary).
- Provide administrative support as needed for pathologists.
