The IT support specialist serves as the application technical subject matter expert, provides system administration and support, and performs system configuration, enhancement, and deployment efforts. This role will serve as the liaison between pharmacy, third party vendors and across IT for system integrations, enhancements, and issue fixes.
- Provide technical support to users
- Be seen as knowledgeable in application module capabilities and configuration
- Address break/fix and service requests submitted by application users
- Implement ongoing enhancements to improve the application’s capabilities to meet the pharmacy operations needs
- Perform ongoing application maintenance activities
- Participate in and implement project solutions
- Bring best practice insight into application capabilities and configuration options
- Maintain pharmacy application including data, application version, configuration, user access/profile, integration, and server management
- Collaborate with users and managers to understand and assess computing and system needs and requirements
- Evaluate current technology use and needs of the company and recommends software and hardware improvements
Bachelor's Degree in IT and/or related discipline
Specialized training through certifications, including CompTIA Security+, Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) preferred
