If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Teller/New Accounts Rep at a trusted community commercial bank dedicated to serving our customers with professionalism and care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Personalized Service: Recognize and address customers by name. Listen carefully to customer requests, comments, or complaints, and respond appropriately in accordance with procedures.
- Efficient Transactions: Receive checks and cash for deposits to accounts, verify amounts, examine checks for proper endorsement, and enter transactions into computer records accurately and promptly.
- Smooth Operations: Cash checks, process withdrawals, and handle mortgage, consumer loan, and other payments efficiently.
- Product Knowledge: Promote and explain various services such as consumer and mortgage loans, insurance, IRAs, CDs, safe deposit boxes, and more to customers.
- New Accounts: Assist customers with opening new accounts, including both commercial and consumer accounts such as checking, savings, and credit accounts. Explain account features, benefits, and requirements.
- Attention to Detail: Count, check, and package coins and currency, ensuring accuracy in maintaining cash supply within prescribed limits.
- Account Maintenance: Balance cash drawer at the end of the shift and handle account holds and postings as needed.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Good personal credit history required
- Preferred: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a financial institution
