The Teller II is responsible for providing exceptional customer service by receiving and paying out money, as well as accurately keeping records of money and negotiable instruments involved in a financial institution's various transactions.
Essential Job Functions: Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently while complying with the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), and USA Patriot Act. Provide knowledgeable and courteous service to customers. Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor at all times. Promote Bank products and services to meet customer needs. Answer customer inquiries while complying with disclosure requirements, regulations and consumer privacy policies. Ensure the work area is clean, organized and properly supplied. Maintain an accurate, balanced cash drawer on a routine basis. Complete Currency Transaction Reports (CTR) and report Suspicious Activities to the BSA Officer. Balance and process all applicable reports related to the cash vault, ATM and coin machine. Adhere to Safe Deposit Box procedures.
Competencies: Verbal and written communication proficiency. Stress management/composure. Thoroughness; attention to detail. Ability to prioritize tasks and multi-task. Demonstrated computer skills, preferably working with Microsoft Office products, office systems and programs, and the ability to successfully navigate and maintain current knowledge and skills working with technology. Ability to maintain regular and routine attendance and punctuality.
Required Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience in customer service or handling cash transactions preferred.
Physical Requirements: This position requires manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items and work with the fingers. This position requires bending, stooping, kneeling and standing as necessary. Employee will frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 25lbs. and will occasionally lift and/or move items weighting up to 50lbs.
