Job Description

We are looking for a full-time, experienced Telecommunications technicians for a decommissioning project in Washington D.C. and the surrounding National Capital Region (NCR). The project consists of decommissioning legacy voice equipment and installing a VoIP network. This is a 100% on-site position at NCR DoD sites, Monday – Friday with 8-hour shifts. The successful candidate will have experience with the following:

• Site Surveying and telephony usage assessments
• Identify and catalog analog and BRI end instruments
• Location infrastructure assessment
• Troubleshooting VPN tunnels and VOIP
• Completing Install, Change and Disconnect order activity tasks
• Assisting with troubleshooting customers data issues
• Completing any special projects as assigned
• Installation/problem solving and customer training for VoIP software and hardware

Qualifications

• US citizenship
• Prefer minimum of active DoD Secret Clearance or clearable
• Personal transportation to site survey locations
• Strong written and verbal communications
• 3 year’s experience as a voice system technician
• 3 year’s experience deploying telephony end points
• Familiarity with structured cabling
• Familiarity with layer 2 and layer 3 equipment
• Basic MS Word and Excel skills
• Ability to complete assigned tasks working within a team or independently
