Pauley Construction has a fantastic opportunity available! We are looking for a Telecom Construction Equipment Operator to work out of Phoenix, AZ. This position will consist of laborer related work including placing conduit in open trenches, placing hand holes and pedestals and shoveling/digging. Must have a valid Drivers License (Class A preferred) Able to works outdoors, in extreme weather conditions and physical labor . The Drilling Equipment Operator can operate a variety of equipment, used in installation/repair/maintenance activities associated with underground construction or utilities, in a safe and effective manner.  

Pay Range:

The Telecom Construction Equipment Operator hourly wage range is $25.00 - $31.00/hr,  depending on experience.

Responsibilities:

What you’ll do…

• You will safely operate Backhoe / Excavator, Skid Steer. 
• You will restore and/or landscape disturbed areas of the jobsite
• You will develop and maintain a bore schedule
• You will be responsible for the site set-up and clean-up
• You will load and unload tools, materials and equipment on truck
• You will be involved in new site Job Safety Analysis
• JSA prior to starting construction
• You will set up safety perimeter using signage, cones and safety barriers and at times flagging traffic.

Qualifications:

Who we are looking for…

• You are at least 18 years old
• You are authorized to work in the United States for this company
• You have a valid standard Driver's License or a Class A Commercial Driver's License with tanker endorsement  
• You have an MVR record that is deemed acceptable by the company - You are able to maintain a safe work environment
• You are able to work in all weather conditions
• You are able to lift/carry 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs as needed with or without assistance
• You are able to work over-time; after hours; on weekends, for emergencies or on-call
• You are experienced with drilling equipment and understand their capabilities and limitations
• You are able to proficiently use locators to safely identify utilities - You may have experience with drill set up and design processes –
• You may able to read and understand work orders, safety rules and operating instructions
• You are able to climb up and down ladders, machinery, and other objects –
• You may have previous construction or utility construction experience Specific vision abilities required to perform this job include but are not limited to: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus potentially near and/or far as needed. Employees in this job classification may be exposed to dust, fumes or other airborne pathogens.
• Employees may be exposed to toxic or corrosive chemicals as well as moving machinery parts and pieces. Remote work may be required; long driving and sitting will be required.
• The noise level in the work environment for this position is moderate.

• Must be able to pass a background check and company drug screening.
• Must be able to attend and pass all company required training as needed.
• May be required to work over-time; after hours; on weekends, for emergencies or be on-call as work is needed to ensure work is completed.
• May include working nights and holidays as needed.
• May be required to travel in state or overnight as necessary to meet business and job requirements.
• Regular and timely attendance is an essential function of this position.
