This is a potential contract-to-merit role. Based on State personnel, the salary range would range from 78k-132k. 100% onsite with potential for 1 remote day per week. Timeline for potential conversion is 6 - 12 months.
Position Description:
Responsible for planning, coordination, status reporting and stability of operations oriented work efforts. Establishes and implements project management processes and methodologies for the IT community to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high quality standards and meet customer expectations. Responsible for assembling project plans and teamwork assignments, coordinating and monitoring work efforts on a daily basis, identifying resource needs, performing quality review; and escalating functional, quality, timeline issues appropriately. Responsible for tracking key project milestones and adjusting project plans and/or resources to meet the needs of customers. Coordinates communication with areas of the enterprise that impacts the scope, budget, risk, and resources of the work effort being managed. Assists Project Manager(s) and/or Business/Program Manager(s) in identifying and prioritizing opportunities for utilizing IT to achieve the goals of the enterprise as requested. Must possess advanced knowledge and proficiency in the use of project management methodologies and tools, resource management practices and change management techniques. This is an individual contributor role without human resource management responsibilities (e.g., hiring, performance management). Manages one or more projects of small to medium complexity. May assist senior leads who have responsibility for large, complex, cross-functional or multiple projects with greater impact to the enterprise.

May assist senior leads who have responsibility for large, complex, cross-functional or moderately complex projects with greater impact to the enterprise. Leads, assigns and tracks results for a project team under general direction of project/program managers.
Skills Preferred:
Technical Skills: " Project Management Methodologies: Proven experience with project management methodologies like Agile, Waterfall, or PMP [Project Management Professional] certification. " IT Knowledge: Understanding of core IT concepts like networking, systems administration, and software development lifecycles. " Project Management Tools: Proficiency in project management tools like MS Project/Excel, SharePoint, TEAMS, Service Now, etc. Soft Skills: " Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication to convey project details to technical and non-technical audiences. " Leadership: Ability to lead and motivate IT teams to achieve project goals. " Organization & Time Management: Exceptional skills in planning, scheduling, and delegating tasks to meet deadlines. " Problem-Solving: The ability to identify, analyze, and resolve project issues effectively. Possess creativity to develop artifacts as necessary to achieve outcomes. " Stakeholder Management: Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with stakeholders, manage expectations, and gather feedback.

Experience Required:
- Typically has 5 to 10 years of IT work experience including three years of project management experience to include managing projects with extended duration, budget responsibilities, and supervision of multiple persons in different skill areas.
Experience Preferred:
- Federal, State, Government experience would be preferred.
Education Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field.
- Or equivalent work experience.
