Since 1967, Damar Services, Inc has been recognized in central Indiana, and throughout the state, as one of the largest not-for-profit organizations and a leading provider of specialty behavioral health and intellectual and developmental disability (I/DD) services at our facilities in Southwestern Marion County and across Indianapolis. Damar’s service and support array has expanded over the years, providing a full continuum of care including Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) clinics, residential and group home operations for children and adults, intensive behavioral interventions, diagnostic and evaluation services, community-based services for child welfare and juvenile justice involved children and families, and primary and outpatient behavioral healthcare services, serving more than 1,500 individuals each day. What would I be doing?
The CMA will be responsible for the delivery of nursing services for our patients at the clinic.

Our nurse's schedule mirrors that of the clinic hours, listed below.
Monday-Wednesday: 8a-5p
Thursday: 8a-6p
Friday: 8a-4p

- Reviews patient schedule each day and prepares for appointments by ensuring all necessary tests, supplies, and materials are available prior to patient’s arrival.
- Prepares patients for provider visits by taking vitals, asking screening questions, reconciling medications, and performing applicable tests prior to the provider entering the room.
- Administers vaccines, draws labs, completes in office testing, and makes referrals as ordered by the provider.
- Provides patient education related to diagnoses or health conditions as requested by the provider. Educational needs may include obesity, diabetes, smoking cessation, wellness compliance, immunizations, and more.
- Keeps the patient up to date on status of referrals, test results, and follow-up care.
Follows established health-related procedures and policies for Damar Health Services.
Complies with all policies and procedures as defined in the Employee Handbook and Damar Operational Policies and Procedures manual.
Reviews client medical records for accuracy and ensures that documentation is completed accurately and timely.
What you need to be considered...
- Must be able to provide proof of CMA certification.
- Minimum of one year experience in a medical office setting.
Strong phlebotomy skills.
Knowledge of childhood immunization schedules.
- Minimum age of 21 per licensure requirements.
- Valid Indiana driver’s license and driving record that meets eligibility requirements of Damar’s insurance carrier (for all positions requiring driving).
- Must meet and maintain background screening requirements of program(s) assigned to.
- No felony convictions or other criminal offenses involving a dependent population.
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen and physical.
Essential Job Functions:
Physical: Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight (up to 35lbs); to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; to travel to other locations using various modes of private and commercial transportation; and to verbally communicate to exchange information.
Vision: See in the normal visual range with or without correction.
Hearing: Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
