Overview:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technology Operations Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of complex technical work within our organization. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business teams, development, quality assurance, and operations, to ensure successful work completion. This role requires strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple work streams simultaneously.
This position can be entirely virtual/remote/work from home and you can sit anywhere in the US.
How you'll make an impact:- Lead and manage the end-to-end lifecycle of technical requests and incidents, including planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring alignment and proper prioritization with business goals.
- Oversee the Operations team responsible for handling all non-project and break/fix work queues.
- Lead incident response and planned outage communications from initial reporting through root cause analysis.
- Coordinate and facilitate cross-functional teams, including business teams, development, quality assurance, and operations to ensure effective collaboration and execution of work requests.
- Monitor progress, providing regular updates to stakeholders and senior management, highlighting any deviations from the plan and proposing corrective actions.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and optimize resource allocation.
- Manage any IT compliance requests related to the program to successful completion by collaborating with appropriate teams.
- Ensure effective communication and collaboration between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders, translating complex technical concepts into clear and concise language.
- Mentor and coach team members, providing guidance and support to foster professional growth and development.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of three years of IT management experience, managing complex technical projects from initiation to delivery.
- Strong technical background, with a solid understanding of software development methodologies, cloud technologies, and infrastructure.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage resources, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
