Job DescriptionWe seek a dynamic Technology Manager to lead AGS’s business intelligence infrastructure’s delivery and modernization. The role will focus on integrating advanced technologies such as AI and Machine Learning to drive innovation, efficiency, and scalability within the technology stack. The role is responsible for establishing, developing, and updating internal enterprise software development standards and best practices for Data warehouse architecture, ETL workflows, mappings, and transformations, including Snowflake and Matillion.
The successful candidate will oversee the back-end modernization of new products, enhancements to existing products, and production support with a strong emphasis on bringing innovation and improvements. Must drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance development quality and velocity.
This role requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of software development practices, and the ability to collaborate effectively with highly matrixed cross-functional teams in a global environment.
Responsibilities
- Team Leadership and Management
- Lead and manage development teams, providing direction and support to ensure alignment with project objectives and delivery timelines.
- Leads the hiring, talent development, and career progression of the development team
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the teams, promoting a high-performance work environment.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, provide feedback, and facilitate professional development opportunities for team members.
- Lead analysis, planning, design, development, testing, and implementation of innovative methods for advancing Data warehouse and ETL processes.
- Development Quality Assurance
- Responsible for establishing, developing, and updating Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) standards (including but not limited to Snowflake, Matillion, SQL, Python, Java, Shell scripting) to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions.
- Collaborate with the global team to conduct code reviews, identify quality issues, and implement corrective actions to improve code quality.
- Responsible for updating documentation and best practices library, ensuring this is kept up-to-date for reference and training material
- Innovation
- Monitors for technology advancements impacting the technology stack (Snowflake, Matillion, Microsoft Azure ecosystem) and makes recommendations to drive scalability and ROI
- Participate in Allegis Group IS Architecture reviews to ensure AGS’ delivery and modernization align with corporate standards
- Leverage and implement AI to improve developer capacity
- Stakeholder Communication and Relationship Management
- Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
- Risk Management and Issue Resolution
- Identify and mitigate risks related to development activities
- Escalate critical issues or roadblocks to senior management and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to develop and implement resolution plans.
- Implement lessons learned from past projects to minimize the impact of risks and issues on future initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or related experience
- 7 – 10 years of software development experience
- 7 – 10 years of experience using a relational database
- 7 – 10 years of Data warehouse experience (analyze, plan, design, develop, test, implement, and change)
- Expert-level experience with Snowflake, Matillion, SQL, Python, Java, Shell scripting and container services
- 7 - 10 years of experience in data analysis and troubleshooting
- 1-2 years of experience leveraging Co-Pilot / Open AI to automate and improve code base
- Ability to manage a team with a high-volume workload, providing varying levels of support when required
- Expert knowledge of MS Office365 software
- Expert experience with data warehouse principles, standards, architecture, modernization, optimization
- Familiarity with SaaS Business Intelligence platform such as PowerBI
- Must have strong technical, organizational, and communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Must have robust, problem-solving capabilities, strong analytical skills, be flexible and able to handle multiple tasks concurrently
- Aptitude for learning new technologies and learning on the fly
- Solid problem-solving and decision-making skills, focusing on identifying root causes of issues and implementing effective solutions.
- Experience working in a global environment with distributed teams and cultural diversity is highly desirable.
- Flexibility and adaptability outside the assigned core responsibilities
- Staffing industry experience is a plus
Additional Information
Per Pay Transparency Acts: The range for this position is $138,100 to $165,000 + bonus potential of up to 20%..
