Technology Manager - Peyton Resource Group

Onsite - Houston TX (Friday remote) 

SUMMARY:

The Technology Manager will be responsible for leading a team of developers and overseeing the design, development, and deployment of scalable, secure, and innovative cloud-based solutions/cloud applications on the Azure platform. Responsibilities include:

 

• Manage technology team, infrastructure, and third-party budget (CapEx, OpEx) and reporting.
• Define and substantiate technology investment strategy.
• Manage multiple technical projects working with IT, third party, and in-house technology team, including technical project planning, monitoring, and controlling the project performance.
• Cloud Architecture & Development
• Cloud Security & Compliance
• Vendor & stakeholder management

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Certified Agile Scrum Master, preferred.
• 7-10+ years of experience leading technology teams, including extensive offshore outsourced team coordination and management.
• 5+ years of experience in cloud application development with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure.
• Proven expertise in SaaS development with 5+ years of experience managing growing SaaS solutions.
• 7-10+ years of software engineering, systems engineering or similar experience.

 

Technical:

• Familiarity with scaling cloud infrastructure in Azure, monitoring and alerting, security, containers and Kubernetes, and CI/CD, Kafka and other real-time streaming data pipelines, SQL and no-SQL DB.
• Strong knowledge of Azure cloud services such as Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Active Directory, Azure DevOps, Azure Key Vault, etc.
• Thorough understanding of microservices architecture and coding experience in Java or .Net environment, Node.Js.
• Understanding of AI/ML, and new technologies such as LLM.
• Experience with mobile UI/UX design, database & storage, Networking and API integration, Security, performance optimization. Multiplatform coding tools such as capacitor.Js.
• Understanding of Virtual Networking, Network Security, Hybrid Networking, Load balancing and Traffic management
• Experience with cloud security practices, including role-based access control (RBAC), encryption, and compliance frameworks.
• Good understanding of SOC2, NIST, ISO, GDPR compliance.

 

Additional Qualifications:

• Proven success as a project manager for software teams.
• Experience with Agile software development methodologies and productivity tools like MS DevOPS/JIRA.
• Software development experience as a developer is a plus, but not required.
• Strong project management skills including status reporting and leading workstreams.
• Exposure to resource intensive industry, such as energy, mining, or construction.
• Entrepreneurial spirit, priding on getting things done with a high level of quality.
