As a Permanent Technology Inventory Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for the planning, execution and oversight of materials and inventory management/control for parts, materials, supplies, and equipment. You'll handle logistics, shipping/receiving, materials management/storage, and cycling initiatives.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement strategies for managing our technology inventory and supply chain, ensuring that our data center operations are efficient and effective.
2. Oversee the procurement of technology assets, negotiating with vendors to ensure that we get the best value for our investments.
3. Manage the lifecycle of our technology assets, from procurement to disposal, ensuring that we are compliant with all relevant regulations and standards.
4. Collaborate with other departments to forecast technology needs and ensure that we have the necessary resources to meet our operational requirements.
5. Develop and implement policies and procedures for technology asset management, ensuring that our practices are consistent and efficient.
6. Monitor and report on the performance of our technology inventory and supply chain, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, IT, Business Administration, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in technology inventory management, supply chain management, or a related role.
3. Extensive experience with data center operations.
4. Active DOE Q clearance (or had this clearance within the previous 3 years)
5. Excellent negotiation skills, with a proven track record of successfully negotiating with vendors.
6. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
7. Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
8. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to lead a team and drive performance.
9. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate complex information to a variety of stakeholders.
10. Proficiency in relevant software, including inventory management systems and data analysis tools.
11. Pluses for the position are previous datacenter experience, and having the Security+ certification.
