Job Description:
Immediate need for a Technology Design Engineer who will work on technology planning projects including IT, Telecom, AV, and Security. The right candidate will work with clients, manufacturers and design team members preparing construction documents for each project. Experience should include design, and specifications. For NYC, would consider hybrid, in-office four days.

Responsibilities:

• Verify proper installation of all technology infrastructure equipment during project construction.
• Make determinations on project budgets, reviewing bid documents, overseeing the project bidding and administration phases.
• Making vendor recommendations.
• Working with clients, manufacturers, and design team members, prepare construction documents and specifications for each project.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years professional experience in designing AV and security systems
• Knowledge of AV and security systems including flow diagrams, rack elevations, and logic diagrams
• Hands-on experience creating AV plans, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Knowledge of IT infrastructure including cable plant, telecom room design and pathways
• Familiarity with AV and Security systems
• Familiar with CAD and BIM software including AutoCAD and Revit
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to multi-task with multiple projects in order to meet strict deadlines
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and in writing

Education:
Bachelors in Engineering, Technology, IT or related field
