Reporting to the Director of Finance & IT Compliance, this role is pivotal in overseeing the company’s technology SOX compliance program and technology audits across critical areas, including IT operations, cloud engineering, data engineering, cybersecurity, enterprise system implementations, and business process automation. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in auditing IT general controls and automated controls in line with regulatory compliance standards.
They should demonstrate meticulous attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple, time-sensitive deliverables across a complex, matrixed organization.
We are looking for a proactive, high-energy professional who thrives in a hands-on environment, works effectively both independently and collaboratively, and has the vision to scale the compliance function to align with the company’s growth trajectory. For California Only - The estimated annual salary for this position is between $195,000 and $204,000 annually.
Compensation packages are based on factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, certifications, and specific geographical location.

What You’ll Be Doing Manage and oversee the company’s technology SOX compliance program, evaluating the design and operational effectiveness of IT general controls, system automated controls, and key reports supporting financial reportingMaintain a deep understanding of the organization’s end-to-end technology ecosystem and its impact on financial reporting, staying updated on system changes, organizational policies, regulatory guidance, and industry best practicesLead the planning, scoping, walkthroughs, operating effectiveness testing, documentation, and quality assurance efforts for assigned IT general controls and financial reporting controlsManage enterprise system implementations and technology transformation projects to provide expertise and guidance on readiness activities, external audit requirements, future state control design and pre go-live validationPartner with engineering and security teams to execute technology audits and security reviews in critical areas, including Access Management, Cloud Security, Incident Management, Data Engineering, DevOps Processes, Disaster Recovery, and Application SecurityAssess control deficiencies, perform root cause analysis, and guide management’s remediation efforts to closure, including review of supporting evidence and retesting Coordinate with co-sourcing partners, external auditors, and system/control owners to ensure cohesive execution.
Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders by anticipating needs and providing actionable insights Leverage emerging technologies, including RPA, Generative AI, and data analytics, to modernize the SOX compliance program, streamline testing, and enable continuous auditingPrepare and review audit work papers and reports, ensuring compliance with departmental and professional standards.
Create presentations for quarterly Audit Committee meetings and develop supporting communications, such as monthly newsletters and status reportsWe’re excited if you have 7+ years of relevant technology audit experience, ideally in a Big 4 public accounting firm and/or a large global public company’s internal audit function Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, finance, or a related fieldProfessional certifications such as CISA, CISSP, or CISM are preferred.
Additional certifications like CPA, CIA, or CFE are a plusProven experience in technology audit areas, including IT general controls, cybersecurity, automated controls, cloud infrastructure, data engineering, DevOps processes, microservices architecture, system implementations, process automation, and key reports testingHands-on experience with designing and assessing IT general and security controls for cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud).
Cloud certifications (AWS, GCP) are highly desirableStrong familiarity with technology compliance requirements (SOX, SOC2, GDPR, PCI-DSS), information security standards (ISO 27001), and governance frameworks (COBIT, NIST)Experience working in high-growth, dynamic environments, preferably in technology, media/entertainment, or advertising sectorsHighly motivated, proactive, and skilled in leadership, teamwork, interpersonal communication, and project management.
Capable of collaborating across all levels of management with minimal supervisionWillingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 10%Extra credit Master's degree in finance, accounting, computer science, IT or a related fieldStrong understanding of finance and business processes, including quote-to-cash, revenue recognition, procure-to-pay, HR operations, and payroll, is highly desirable Experience in auditing leading SaaS solutions such as NetSuite, Salesforce, and Workday.
