Technologist - Mammographer - Ascension

We Are Hiring:

• Sign-on bonus: $2,500.00
• Department: Imaging 
• Schedule: Full Time, Days. Must be available from 6:30am-5:00pm Monday - Friday, rotating Saturdays! 
• Hospital: Columbia St.Mary's - Milwaukee
• Location: 2323 N Lake Drive
  Milwaukee, WI 53211

What You Will Do:

Provide mammography imaging services

• Operate equipment and perform various mammography related procedures. Prepare and position patients and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
• Explain procedures and educate patients about the role of regular mammography in preventive breast health.
• Develop and evaluate the film for technical quality such as density contrast, definition, and distortion.
• Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
• Ensure prompt submission of high-quality of all images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history).
• Ensure equipment is properly functioning. Report potential problems or equipment malfunction to appropriate personnel.
• Assist in maintaining a clean, and orderly department to include procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage area and any other areas in department.

What You Will Need:

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• State Radiology Technologist licensure issued by Wisconsin Radiography Examining Board required by hire date or job transfer date required.
• Radiologic Technologist specializing in Mammography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Training provided if needed!
