What you’ll do:
Divert’s Technicians play a pivotal role in the food analysis and recovery process as they execute various activities including preparing, batching, cleaning, light maintenance and other key operational duties. Under the direction of the Lead Technician our Technicians work in Analytics, Modular and complete RNG facilities utilizing cutting edge technology to solve the food waste crisis.
Shift Available: 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Sun-Thur
This position is a safety-sensitive position and requires a clear mind and diligence. The employee has the responsibility for his/her safety as well as the safety of others.
Responsibilities:
- Operates a forklift to unload trucks and load unsold food into the processing equipment
- Operation of hand pallet jacks
- Executes on various tasks including the inspection, breakdown, cleaning, and stacking of organic material bins
- General operation of plant equipment through HMIs
- Monitoring KPIs of the processing equipment through observation and the HMI
- Completion of Preventative Maintenance activities and some maintenance activities and records entries into the computerized maintenance tracking system
- Tracks and records machine uptimes and overall performance against targets
- Actively participates in shift handoff meetings and daily planning meetings as instructed
- Escalates any concerns regarding equipment and/or processes to Lead Technician and management in real time
- Additional duties as assigned

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential functions for this position and meet the physical requirements needed to perform them, including but not limited to frequently require the ability to drive a forklift, sit; hear or talk: use close vision; use hands to grasp, handle or feel objects; and type and manipulate controls. - Must be able to lift, push, pull, carry up to 50 lbs. frequently
- Must be able to bend, stand, walk, sit, kneel frequently
- Comfortable and able to transition on and off a forklift handling multiple tasks throughout a shift
- Is comfortable operating equipment and repetitive tasks throughout their shift
- Is able to handle potential changes in temperature on site, humidity and wetness in working areas
What we’re looking for:
- HS Diploma or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience required
- 2 year Technical Degree, Associate’s degree, or Military background preferred
- Experience working in a manufacturing/production environment required
- 6-12 months Maintenance, Industrial Maintenance, or Auto Mechanic experience preferred
- 1-3 years in a Leadership role preferred
- Experience in or certified to operating a forklift preferred
- Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication in English
- Basic computer proficiency and mathematical skills
- Willing to work overtime
