Here's What You'll Do On The Job:

• Maintain laboratory equipment performance and operational integrity through preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repair.
• Work directly with petroleum industry laboratory equipment representatives and stay abreast of new technologies and innovations.
• Perform equipment calibration and validation.
• Set up new equipment and test methods.
• Monitor instrument quality assurance and respond to non-conformances as needed.
• Assist with training as needed.
• Responsible for maintaining instrument maintenance records.
• Responsible for complying with safety, quality and housekeeping requirements.

Qualifications:

• Five Years Previous Experience in Petroleum Lab Highly Preferred
• High school diploma or GED preferred. Prefer successful completion of at least one semester of college level chemistry and/or prior work experience in a laboratory environment
• Must have good mechanical troubleshooting abilities and demonstrated knowledge of basic electricity and electronics.
• Must demonstrate the ability to follow instrument troubleshooting guides and schematic diagrams.
• Must demonstrate the ability to repair and maintain non-complex and complex laboratory instrumentation.
• Basic knowledge of test equipment such as digital multimeters, digital thermometers, tachometers, etc.
• Prefer proficiency with Microsoft Office software, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to regularly lift/carry up to 44 pounds.
• Ability to occasionally lift/carry up to 49 pounds.
