Here's What You'll Do On The Job:
- Maintain laboratory equipment performance and operational integrity through preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repair.
- Work directly with petroleum industry laboratory equipment representatives and stay abreast of new technologies and innovations.
- Perform equipment calibration and validation.
- Set up new equipment and test methods.
- Monitor instrument quality assurance and respond to non-conformances as needed.
- Assist with training as needed.
- Responsible for maintaining instrument maintenance records.
- Responsible for complying with safety, quality and housekeeping requirements.
Qualifications:
- Five Years Previous Experience in Petroleum Lab Highly Preferred
- High school diploma or GED preferred. Prefer successful completion of at least one semester of college level chemistry and/or prior work experience in a laboratory environment
- Must have good mechanical troubleshooting abilities and demonstrated knowledge of basic electricity and electronics.
- Must demonstrate the ability to follow instrument troubleshooting guides and schematic diagrams.
- Must demonstrate the ability to repair and maintain non-complex and complex laboratory instrumentation.
- Basic knowledge of test equipment such as digital multimeters, digital thermometers, tachometers, etc.
- Prefer proficiency with Microsoft Office software, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to regularly lift/carry up to 44 pounds.
- Ability to occasionally lift/carry up to 49 pounds.
