This role consists of ensuring our fleet of equipment is up and running safely and smoothly. This means performing regular preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a wide range of construction equipment and delivery vehicle fleet in the branch location. You’ll also troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, ignition, and pneumatic systems, diagnose diesel and gas engines, and perform maintenance on drive trains.
Requirements
Preferred Qualities/Experience:
- You should have one to three years of experience as a diesel mechanic, with a construction equipment background.
- Experience with diesel and gas engines, electrical, hydraulics, as well as drive trains is required.
- Experience performing preventative maintenance, minor and major repairs on hydraulics, electrical, ignition, transmission, drive trains, and pneumatic systems.
- You have diagnostic and troubleshooting skills with a good mechanical aptitude.
- Basic understanding of schematics, computer diagnostic software, and welding methods preferred.
- Must have the necessary tools you need to do the job; 3K-7K in value.
- High quality control. Respect your work and make it known.
- Solving problems and troubleshooting go hand-in-hand in this role.
- Team-player, you work well supporting your team to achieve goals.
- You are a self-starter and motivated to be successful. Career growth is available!
