Job Description
Required Knowledge and Experience
- Must Have
- Experience with calibrated test equipment.
- Familiarity with test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, function generators, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with mechanical systems (motors, gears, pneumatic/hydraulic systems).
- Proficiency in diagnosing/repairing electronic components (PCBs, sensors, actuators).
- Strong skills in interpreting schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Nice To Have
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance schedules and repair strategies for high-value equipment.
- Hands-on servicing of capital equipment in hospitals, clinics, or laboratories.
- Knowledge of diagnostics, troubleshooting, service, and repair of capital medical equipment (electronic instruments, surgical/laboratory equipment).
- Responsibilities
- Performs a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas.
- Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems.
- Works from schematics, engineering drawings, and written or verbal instructions.
- Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format.
- Performs calibration and alignment checks; makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed.
- Prepares prescribed compounds and solutions.
- Assists team members with picking parts and shipping service parts to customers/field service engineers.
