What will you be doing?
The Technician I is responsible for providing technical support for engineering staff, including performing duties related to routine testing, maintenance or clean-up. This position works under direct supervision.
The Technician I is responsible for providing technical support for engineering staff, including performing duties related to routine testing, maintenance or clean-up in addition to Local Quality Representative ("Quality Supervisor"). Supports local audit activities and Global Management System training and questions.
What you'll do:

- Perform calibration, diagnostic and preventative maintenance on instrumentation and/or equipment with little to no supervision.
- Able to conduct calibration work at customer on-sites with little to no direction.
- Identify and utilize appropriate measurement techniques.
- Coordinate the repair of instrumentation and calibration of equipment with 3rd Party Vendors.
- Ensure timely turn-around time on all instrumentation and equipment calibration services.
- Conduct equipment review following the return of calibrated equipment.
- Maintain accurate calibration records and standards and maintain and review Calibration Certificates.
- Ensure that preventative maintenance of equipment is performed in a timely and effective manner.
- Perform or assist in performing suspect equipment investigations.
- May assist with writing and/or updating procedures to ensure efficiency, standardization, and accuracy.
- Be able to read and interpret labs' scopes of accreditation.
- Obtain and record test data in accordance with standards.
- Under guidance of Quality Manager, supports 3rd party pre-audit preparation and coordination. Participate in audit, root cause analysis, corrective action implementation and follow up.
- Acts as primary resource for the local office on quality issues.
- Maintains and updates local management system policies and procedures.
- Reports results of monitoring and quality control assessments.
- Performs root cause analysis and corrective action reporting on Global Management System concerns.
- Proves metrics data on required basis.
- Perform other work as required.
What it takes to be successful in this role:
- High school diploma or GED
- 0-3 years directly related experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES
- Ability to utilize basic shop equipment and various hand tools.
- Ability to review, understand, and convey technical information in an effective manner.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
- Strong communication skills, in both verbal and written formats
- Microsoft Office software expertise, including Word, Excel and Outlook
