Experience/ Skills required:
- 2+ years of instructional design, training and development, or equivalent job experience.
- 2+ years of Financial writing/industry experience
- Supporting Financial degree or accreditation
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Instructional Design, or related area.
- Experience in the refining industry.
- Proficient in using primary Microsoft Office programs (i.e. Word, PowerPoint and Excel).
- Basic skills in additional Microsoft Office programs (i.e. Outlook, Visio, and Access)
- Demonstrated proficiency in curriculum and training strategy development and implementation.
- Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
- Financial and technical writing acumen
- Ability to read and interpret company policies, regulatory guidelines, and other work-related documentation.
- Ability to abide by confidentiality requirements when working with sensitive information, results, and communications.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively through written and verbal methods.
- Ability to accomplish work within required timelines, including short, long, and emergency timeframes.
- Ability to work with others to accomplish challenging assignments.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple assignments to ensure completion of tasks within stated time requirements.
Prefered Requirements:
- Demonstrated proficiency in the use of design and development technology, such as Photoshop, InDesign, Captivate, Storyline, etc., which supports creative program design.

responsibilities:
- Design and development of documentation and supporting resources for proprietary financial and refinery systems and related activity.
- Create content related to accounting, budgeting, systems, and proprietary financial tools.
- Create instruction/learning documentation that provides support for users of internal systems.
- Conduct on-going needs analysis and confer with IS and Talent Development professionals to determine learner needs.
- Compile data and analyzs past and current training requirement.
- Conduct task analysis/research to identify the specific knowledge, skills, and behaviors needed to achieve desired performance levels.
- Conduct learner analysis; identifying target audiences, current skills, performance gaps, special needs, prior knowledge, and attitudes.
- Coordinate with other departments, subject matter experts (SMEs), and support groups (such as graphics design and print shop) to ensure timely delivery of projects.
- Develop training plans and supporting strategies for implementation of created training plans.
- Identify measurement strategies to evaluate success of learning programs and develop tools for the evaluation/measurement of post-training learning effectiveness.
- Communicates with internal clients to assess project requirements and modify content based on intended audience.
- Offers consulting guidance and expertise to customers to ensure their needs are met or exceeded.
- Remains current on key training methodology to maximize effectiveness of contributions to team projects.
