A successful candidate will be comfortable in a manufacturing environment and have a flair for creating marketing materials as well as technical documents.

Job Functions and Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with software engineers to develop, edit and refine all software documentation for system control and analysis.
• Authors technical documentation and diagnostic service procedures gathered from engineering resources and develops systems troubleshooting and maintenance manuals.
• Interpret blueprints and engineering specifications.
• Develop all Environmental, Health, and Safety documentation as required.
• Manage new and existing documentation to ensure information is relevant and accurate.
• Assist in developing marketing materials for print and digital ad campaigns.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, Engineering, or Computer Science.
• 3-5 years’ experience in technical writing, ideally with a mechanical or electrical focus.
• Understanding of machine operating principles.
• Experience with Madcap Flare or other XML content authoring tools is required.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
• Excellent grammar and proofreading skills.
• Demonstrated ability to understand and write about complex information and make it understandable in text and through images and media.
• Excellent work ethic and strong intellectual curiosity.
