Technical Writer
This role is based out of our Boston corporate headquarters office. We are a flexible hybrid environment with 3 days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) in the office. Please note that we are only accepting candidates that reside in the greater Boston area.
About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated, creative, and experienced Technical Writer, to join our Boston-based team. Reporting to the Vice President, Product, you are passionate about turning complex ideas into clear, compelling content. In this role, you’ll play a key part in shaping how our users and stakeholders understand and interact with our software. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including product, engineering, and customer account management to ensure the successful growth and scaling of our platform.
As a Technical Writer, you’ll create and maintain accurate, user-focused documentation and technical documentation that drives adoption and enables users to maximize the value of our platform. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, and customer-facing teams.
How You Will Contribute
Develop Documentation: Write, edit, and maintain user guides, API references, FAQs, and online help content that simplify complex technical information
Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with engineers, product managers and customer-facing teams to gather insights, clarify requirements, and produce materials tailored to user needs.
Create Engaging Content: Use visuals, examples, and clear language to help users quickly understand workflows, features, and functionality.
Ensure Accessibility: Structure content for diverse audiences, including developers, researchers, and business users.
Keep Content Updated: Continuously update documentation to reflect product changes, new features, and user feedback.
Drive Standards: Contribute to the development of style guides and best practices to ensure consistency across all documentation.
What You Bring to the Team
Experience: 3+ years of experience in technical writing with cloud-based platforms or SaaS software.
Technical Skills: Familiarity with APIs, software development concepts, and tools like Swagger, Markdown, Git, Confluence, or similar platforms.
Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a knack for making complex concepts accessible.
User-Centric Approach: A strong focus on understanding user needs and tailoring content to their workflows and challenges.
Attention to Detail: Meticulous editing skills and a commitment to producing high-quality, error-free documentation.
Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, agile environment with evolving priorities.
Nice to Have: Experience writing for a life sciences audience or familiarity with R&D workflows is a plus.
