Our client is as an industry leader in providing environmental construction services. They offer wide range of capabilities including environmental construction, remediation, abatement, demolition, asset recovery, specialty transportation, industrial services, emergency response and waste management. They are looking for a Technical Waste Coordinator to sit out of the Wilmington, CA office.
As a Technical Waste Coordinator, this role will review analytical data, compare data to state and federal regulations to determine applicable waste classifications, prepare a suitable waste profile, and generate waste manifests for transportation and disposal of the waste.

- Essential Functional Area of Responsibilities:
- Reviews data packages received from client containing analytical testing results for numerous organic and inorganic chemical compounds present in waste streams consisting of soil, groundwater, drilling muds, or other media.
- Based on a review of the data package and applicable cleanup levels for various constituents in the waste stream, determines if additional analytical testing is necessary to make an accurate determination of the applicable waste classification for the waste stream. General knowledge of waste classifications and thresholds for non-hazardous, non-RCRA, RCRA hazardous, Characteristic wastes, and Federal and state waste codes is preferred.
- Once the waste classification is determined, identifies the appropriate waste disposal facility to receive the waste stream, prepare a Waste Profile for the receiving disposal facility to review and approve.
- Once disposal approval is obtained from the receiving facility, uses a computer software known as “TerraLink” to generate applicable waste manifests necessary for waste shipment and disposal.
- Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum of five years’ experience in a similar role
- High School Diploma or GED, 4-year Degree preferred
- Must be authorized to work in the United States

- Ability to communicate clearly with clients and to work as a member of a Team with various in-house departments and individuals.
- Ability to meet client deadlines in regard to timely waste profiling and disposal set up.
- Ability to prioritize work tasks and multi-tasking as needed.
- Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills.
