Technical Training and Support Specialist - Baker Sterchi Cowden & Rice

Baker Sterchi Cowden & Rice LLC is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Technical Training and Support Specialist in the Kansas City office.

The ideal candidate is team-oriented and analytical. Strong communication and project management skills and aptitude and initiative to learn are required for success in this position.

At least five years of technology support experience is required. Technology training experience is preferred.

All candidates must understand the importance of upholding client confidentiality.

Technical Support Duties and Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues sent to the firm Help Desk.
• Resolve network, server, and PC problems in medium/large business environment.
• Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of systems, programs, hardware, and software.
• Assist in evaluating, testing, and implementing new technology.
• Continually seek opportunities to increase user satisfaction.
• Learn multiple facets within the IT arena.

Technical Training Duties and Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, and facilitate classroom, remote, and individual training on a wide variety of general and legal-specific technology applications.
• Identify user needs to develop new training programs and enhance existing training programs.
• Oversee and create firm curriculum/training calendar.
• Create training materials for all applications and processes.
• Prepare materials and conduct technology training with all new hires as a part of orientation.
• Work with the management team and Paralegal Supervisor to determine firm training priorities and strategies.
• Work with the Technology Department to develop and maintain learning management system.
• Work with Human Resources to develop skill and competency standards for various positions within the firm.
• Serve as a member of firmwide project team for testing, documenting, and rolling out new technology.
