About the Job
Technical Trainer
The Technical Trainer will provide expert product-specific training to employees and a subset of customers on features and operation of all Omnicell products. They will support Omnicell solutions from an implementation and installation environment.
Responsibilities:
+ Provide special or customized training when required
+ Deliver classroom-based and virtual trainings from the office in Cranberry Township, PA
+ Partner with the Instructional Design team to design, develop, and deliver training that meets customer and employee needs
+ Participate in quality assurance audits to ensure that documentation and training tools are accurate and understandable from a user standpoint
+ Manage classroom and/or virtual training project plans to ensure readiness of classes for new product and release training for biomedical customers and field employees
+ Gather information from multiple resources, including sprint reviews, engineering and marketing to understand the enhancements for each new product release. Update training material as needed and transfer content collected from external validation and operational readiness teams to the Instructional Design Team
+ Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction to ensure effectiveness of training. Solicit training satisfaction feedback and implement program changes, as needed. Provide customer feedback and requests for product enhancement received during training to product management
+ Be primarily self-directed in consulting with internal and external customers on standard and complex problems and issues
+ Define and analyze customer or internal Omnicell challenges and recommend solutions to management
+ Demonstrate active departmental engagement and leadership in collaborating with management and other team members to develop and implement final solutions
+ Be responsible for installing, configuring, upgrading, and maintaining the classroom and virtual training environments
+ Identify and build relations with appropriate subject matter experts to acquire product knowledge and/or troubleshoot issues
+ Regularly coaches and mentors others in the department
+ Support the training group’s virtual and physical classrooms to include virtual server, images and our classroom break fix repair in Cranberry Twp., PA
Required Knowledge and Skills:
+ Knowledge of software/IT, technical training and healthcare and hospital operations
+ Demonstrated training skills
+ Excellently demonstrated presentation and facilitation skills
+ Understanding of the application of adult learning principles and theory
+ Knowledge of virtual environments
+ Detail-oriented, independent and able to adjust to changing priorities
+ Understanding of instructional design practices
+ Ability to read and understand technical instructions (e.g. repair manuals) and produce content for instructor led/virtual trainings
Basic Qualifications:
+ High School diploma or GED
+ 2 or more years of experience in one or more of the following areas: technical training with hardware and software, hardware break-fix support and/or repair, hardware and software product implementations
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's Degree
Work Conditions:
+ Overnight travel up to 20%
+ Office based position in Cranberry Township, PA or can be remote
