About the Role:
Were seeking a skilled and passionate Technical Trainer to join our team, specializing in last-mile copper and fiber technician training. Based in the Brattleboro, VT / Bedford, NH area, this role is vital in shaping the next generation of technicians to deliver high-quality telecom services.
As a trainer, youll lead our comprehensive training programs, including both classroom instruction and hands-on sessions, to prepare technicians to meet the highest industry standards. Your expertise in Pac Bell standards, as well as copper and fiber technologies, will be pivotal to ensuring trainees are equipped with the knowledge and skills required to excel in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver training programs for last-mile copper and fiber technicians, covering both theoretical and practical aspects.
- Train technicians in adherence to Pac Bell standards, ensuring compliance with industry and safety regulations.
- Facilitate hands-on instruction with training infrastructure, including mock environments, utility poles, and live equipment.
- Assess trainees progress through evaluations, feedback sessions, and skill assessments.
- Stay current with telecom trends and technologies to maintain program relevance.
- Collaborate with internal teams to update training materials and methods as needed.
- Foster a learning environment that prioritizes safety, quality, and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience with Pac Bell standards and last-mile copper and fiber technologies.
- In-depth knowledge of copper splicing, fiber splicing, and installation best practices.
- Previous experience in a training or leadership role, with a focus on technical instruction.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
