Deliver application testing support and Technical Service support to Sales personnel, key customers and the PQ supply chain for the Global Silicas business.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Advise customers on PQ product chemistries and application to their formulations and processes in several fields such as surface coatings, pharma, personal care and adsorbents.
- Satisfy external and internal customers by developing and providing focused technical services.
- Optimize customer’s formulations.
- Investigate technical issues with data collection, research, and laboratory studies that relate to customer satisfaction and business development goals of PQ.
- Conduct product trials at customer sites.
- Contribute to the development of marketing materials.
- Take initiative to generate experimental plans to resolve key technical issues and/or support new business growth.
- Establish reliable analytical testing techniques.
- Manage laboratory equipment and supplies.
- Maintain detailed laboratory notebooks and computer records, presentations and reports.
- Perform routine safety inspections of workspaces and equipment.
- Comply with all federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations and requirements.
- Comply with company policies.
- Other duties as assigned or required.
- Bachelor of Science in Chemistry or related field with a minimum of 5 years experience
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word).
- Experience working with and maintaining sensitive and confidential information.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Sound analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and be a team player

Special Factors
- Work environment – primarily laboratory and office as needed
- Travel – up to 25% including international travel
- Customary work hours (8:00 am – 4:30 pm)
