Role Summary: We are seeking a motivated and experienced Technical Sales Engineer with experience in the Instrumentation and Monitoring (I&M) disciplineto support our ambitious growth plans in the United States and Canada.
This remote role combines commercial and technical responsibilities, focusing on developing and nurturing client relationships, identifying project opportunities, and proposing suitable monitoring solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage client relationships across the region.
- Identify and pursue project opportunities.
- Consult with clients to understand their needs and propose suitable solutions.
- Provide technical support and guidance throughout the sales process.
- Prepare and deliver customer presentations and proposals.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful project delivery and ongoing support.
- Travel as required to meet clients and attend site visits.
Qualifications and Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in the Instrumentation and Monitoring (I&M) discipline.
- Strong understanding and usage of I&M equipment.
- Experience with I&M specifications, tendering, bill of quantities, and pricing requests.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering design drawings.
- Experience with wireless sensors is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of rail industry and interaction with Class 1 railroads is a plus.
- Consultative approach to problem-solving and client interactions.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
