FLSA Status: Exempt
Base Pay Range: $84,000-$85,000, plus bonus
Position Summary:
We are seeking a well-connected Technical Sales Consultant to inform business strategy, build a new sales pipeline, and maintain construction sales operations. The person in this role will be a product expert, presenting roof drainage solutions to commercial customers. The ideal candidate will be able to leverage existing industry connections to help the company grow in the new market. The Technical Sales Consultant must understand the construction industry and how to integrate the company’s products into the workflow of contractors. This position reports directly to the CEO, and we are targeting a start date in mid-January 2025.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for creating and maintaining a solid pipeline of prospective customers to expand market share and drive growth.
- Understanding the buyer’s needs and offering customized solutions
- Presenting our products in a way that emphasizes their benefits, features, and competitive advantages to meet unique client requirements.
- Foster and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, acting as the main point of contact for their construction needs and queries.
- Collaborate with the product management team to drive product development, improvement, and delivery.
- Assist customers with any technical issues during and after sales to ensure satisfaction.
- Demonstrate our product’s benefits, showing how they resolve customers’ issues and cater to their needs.
- Create compelling proposals to potential clients, negotiate terms effectively, and close deals to achieve sales targets.
- Engage in ongoing market research and competitor analysis to stay current with trends and identify more opportunities for growth.
- Responsible for forecasting and providing weekly or monthly reports to leadership on sales, growth, and achievements.
- Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, product development, and technical support, to ensure client satisfaction.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or any other technical field.
- 2-3 years of relevant experience in construction or similar industry.
- Open to recent graduates.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and startup environment.
- Willingness to travel around the USA is a must.
- Must be willing and able to work from our office in Burr Ridge, IL regularly.
- Must have the use of a personal vehicle and must possess a valid driver’s license.
