Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Engineer to join our electrical wire harness sales quoting team as a technical specialist. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of electrical wire harness design and manufacturing. This role requires a unique blend of technical expertise and sales acumen to identify customer needs, provide tailored solutions, and help the team drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Quotations and Proposals: Prepare and deliver accurate and competitive quotations and proposals. Analyzing customer supplied drawings and preparing the Bills of Materials (BOMs) needed to support the cost estimating process.
• Technical Consultation: Serve as the technical expert on electrical wire harness products, providing detailed product information and support to customers.
• Customer Engagement: Establish and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers, understanding their technical requirements and offering customized solutions.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the engineering, production, and quality assurance teams to ensure that customer requirements are accurately communicated and met.
• Reporting: Maintain detailed records of sales and quoting activities, customer interactions, providing regular reports to management.

Qualifications:

• Education: High School education is required. Post secondary education (AA in Automation or Manufacturing, BS in Engineering) or trade related training/apprentice program (electrical, HVAC, etc...) preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of technical quotations experience as either a Design Engineer, Project Engineer, Electrical Designer, Inside Sales, Technical Product Specialist or Project Estimator in a related trade. (Electrical, HVAC, Machining, etc.) Working for a manufacturing company is a plus.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of wire harness design, manufacturing processes, and industry standards. Ability to become a wire harness subject matter expert (SME).
• Problem-Solving: Ability to understand complex customer needs and provide innovative and effective solutions.
• Detail Oriented: Must be organized and able to multi-task in a face paced environment.
• Travel: Willingness to travel to meet with customers and attend industry events as required. 1-2 times per quarter.
