The Position:
An exciting opportunity available for a Scrum Master to work on its Edge Deployment team. S/He will join a small, full-stack Agile engineering team and participate in all aspects of the development process, from requirements gathering through quality assurance and delivery. S/He will be tasked with removing any impediments hindering the development team from meeting their sprint goals. Working closely with the Product Owner the Scrum Master will assist the Scrum team in delivering prioritized backlog items each sprint. This role is best suited for a person who communicates well, is willing to have an attitude of service for the team while guiding them to the highest level of accomplishment utilizing the Agile/Scrum framework.

Core Responsibilities
- Ensure the development teams uphold agile values and standards including collaboration, fostering a culture of openness, team self-organization, continuous improvement and flexibility to adapt to emerging business requests.
- Manage complex projects through entire project lifecycle (inception, design, development, integration, test, trial and deployment).
- Coordinate, manage, and drive test organization activities with all stakeholders.
- Provides guidance and direction on project methodology and best practices to teams to identify efficiencies to improve ability to release quality products early and often.
- Act as lead to make project's scheduling decisions (in conjunction with team manager) or facilitate conversations necessary for decision making.
- Guards and shields the team from distractions and interruptions from external interferences.
- Identify potential problems with applications/systems and research/recommend alternative solutions.
- Track tasks and milestones across all parties (including vendors)
- Consistent practice of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
- Report on project's progress as required by Deployment Engineering management
Job Specific Requirements
- Organize and facilitate project planning, daily stand-up meetings, reviews, retrospectives, sprint and release planning, demos and other Scrum-related meetings.
- Implement software releases within the sprint framework, track/communicate team velocity and progress.
- Familiar with conducting audits, developing assessments, and analyzing results to customize solutions.
- Assist as needed with backlog maintenance.
- Approach challenges with a passion and leverage any and all opportunities to learn.
- Excels in team environment where collaboration and knowledge sharing are critical for success.
- Effectively multitask and maintain flexibility in a fast-paced work environment.
- Exposure to software development teams working with programming languages: Perl, Python, Php5 (Laravel), JavaScript (ReactJs), and MySQL.
- Excellent communicator and team player that is capable of working closely with all levels within the organization.
- Keeps current with technological developments within the industry.
- Excel in data gathering for problem structuring and analysis.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science/MS Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance or Related Field (or equivalent expertise)
- 3+ years of experience as a practicing Scrum Master/Product Owner
- Knowledge of network architecture/hardware is a plus (routers, switches, CMTS/CCAP)
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills; presentation skills
- Prepare technical design specifications of product subsystems based on functional requirements.
- Ensure the quality of code by performing complex bug verification, release testing and support for assigned products.
- Support a dynamic team environment by collaborating with other departments, contributing time, effort and ideas.
- Ability to be flexible and "think outside the box
- Experience with the following methodologies in prior roles: software development life cycle (SDLC), Agile, SCRUM, Waterfall, PMI PMBOK, and Six Sigma (Yellow or Green Belt).
- Experience with the following tools: Rally, JIRA-Green hopper, MS Office Suite
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends when necessary.
