Job Description
Focused on leading a team in the development and implementation of web and cloud technologies to support our finance teams. Leverages forward thinking architecture and design patterns to better support the finance business teams. Help define web and cloud strategies, grow capabilities and develops the team by providing technology leadership, mentoring in design, framework and platform decisions.

Manage application portfolio supporting Investment Reporting Finance functions; Implementation of new accounting book of record system for multiple Transamerica asset classes, as well as the design and build of new "ancillary” applications that will integrate with the new system.
Develop a future state roadmap for the application portfolio and provide regular updates on progress including key performance indicators
Provide guidance and oversight of a team of Software Engineers in working collaboratively with other technology teams and business product owners in an agile environment.
Perform design and analysis for deliverables. Lead multi-team design sessions.
Recommend solutions which take into consideration costs, business needs, and system impacts.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, math, engineering, or other technical field, or equivalent
Four years of experience in delivery of large-scale design projects involving interaction with a broad spectrum of enterprise operational functions
Familiarity with modern UI development frameworks (e.g. Angular, React, Vue.js) and web technologies (e.g. HTTP, HTML, JS, CSS)

Preferred Qualifications

5 years of experience supporting finance, accounting and/or financial reporting related applications
Understanding of data mapping and ETL
Technology or platform certifications (e.g. AWS, Microsoft)
Knowledge of the financial services industry
