About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned Technical Project Manager with a robust background in networking technologies, including VPNs, DMZs, and security protocols. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing large-scale national rollouts of VPN systems, specifically within retail environments across the United States. A background in the telecommunications industry is highly preferred.
In this role, you will oversee end-to-end project execution, ensuring the successful deployment of complex networking solutions in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage large-scale VPN system rollouts across retail stores nationwide, ensuring timely and successful implementation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, IT, and operations, to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, providing innovative solutions to overcome challenges.
- Coordinate with vendors, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure seamless integration of networking solutions.
- Provide regular updates to senior leadership on project status, milestones, and any issues that may arise.
- Ensure all networking implementations adhere to security standards, compliance requirements, and industry best practices.
- Manage post-deployment support and performance analysis to ensure operational success.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 7+ years of experience in technical project management with a focus on networking technologies.
- Proven track record managing national rollouts of VPN systems in retail environments.
- Strong knowledge of networking technologies, including VPN, DMZ, firewalls, and security protocols.
- Experience in the telecommunications industry or similar environments.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall).
- Exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
