Job Description:
Role: Technical Project Manager
Client: Large pharmaceutical company
Duration: FTE
Location: Fully onsite 5x a week in Lenoir, NC
Requirements:
- 4-year Bachelor’s degree in a Science and/or Engineering field.
*Examples that will be accepted if 4 year degrees:
Pharmaceutical, Chemistry, Engineering, Micro-Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, Bio Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engingeering
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a highly regulated environment: pharmaceutical, biotechnology, allergen testing
- Minimum of 3 years experience in project management
- Knowledge of engineering and validation life cycles.
- Knowledge of finance, forecasting and budget management with experience in developing payback analysis and business cases.
- Direct production or process experience in pharmaceutical/biotech manufacturing
- MS Project for tracking
- Knowledge of FDA and European compliance regulations.
- Knowledge of GAMP guidelines applicable to project management for pharmaceutical industry.
Nice-to-have:
- Knowledge of various technologies and automated systems used in the pharmaceutical industry (Fill lines, Vial washers, Parts washers, Autoclaves, Depyrogenation Ovens, etc.).
- PMP certification
Job Purpose
- Reporting to the Manager of Project Services, the Technical Project Manager is responsible for site wide project management, conceptualization, assisting with design plans & business case documentation, project charters and project plan documents.
- This person will be working on multiple projects at once (5-6 mid-size projects with budgets of $10K-$100K, not overly complex)
- Hands-on experience working with Sr Scientists, Chemical Engineers, and Sr VPs
- Currently going through a $50M expansion on-site
Job responsibilities
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget.
- Develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
- Work with site managers and supervisors to ensure resource availability and allocation.
- Develop a detailed project plan(s) to track execution progress.
- Engagement in a cross functional team(s) to measure, analyze, improve, and control processes throughout the business.
- Collaborate with vendors, consultants, manufacturers, and fabricators to develop effective process, facility, and utility solutions concurrent with guidelines.
- Participate and provide suggestions during incident investigations and advise on corrective actions.
- Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes within project scope, schedule and cost.
- Monitor and measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques.
- Report out and escalate to management as needed.
- Manage relationships with clients and all stakeholders.
- Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.
- Must have strong presentation skills and the ability to effectively speak about technical topics to executive leadership.
- Ability to prepare and communicate succinct and impactful presentations for leadership.
- Previous experience and strong mindset in continuous improvement and change management.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to communicate clearly and effectively, including in international environment.
- Demonstrates integrity by adhering to codes of ethical practices between health care providers and industry.
- Needs to be able to work independently and reliably with little supervision.
- Organized and able to manage multiple activities at the same time and with a high degree of accuracy.
- Able to facilitate cross-functional meetings towards actionable outcomes and resolutions.
- Excellent people management, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
