Our client, an investment firm, is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to join their team in New York, NY!
Responsibilities:
- Configure and customize Jira to meet project and organizational requirements, including workflows, dashboards, reporting, and integrations.
- Lead the implementation of Jira best practices for project tracking and reporting.
- Develop and maintain custom solutions using Jira plugins, scripts, and automation tools.
- Plan, execute, and manage technical projects in alignment with business goals, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.
- Collaborate with DevOps and Software Development teams to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
- Monitor project progress, resolve roadblocks, and proactively manage risks.
- Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders to translate requirements into actionable plans.
- Deliver regular updates and project insights to stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business priorities.
- Analyze existing project management workflows and recommend improvements to drive efficiency and transparency.
- Train team members on Jira best practices and provide ongoing support.
- Foster a culture of collaboration and accountability within the DevOps and software teams.
- Mentor team members in project management techniques and Jira usage.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Project Management, or a related field.
- 3-5+ years of experience as a Technical Project Manager, with a strong focus on Jira implementation and customization.
- Experience with Confluence for documentation and knowledge sharing.
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices.
- Certification in Jira Administration or Agile frameworks (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster).
- Proven expertise in designing Jira workflows, dashboards, and reports tailored to technical teams.
- Familiarity with Jira plugins (e.g., ScriptRunner, Automation for Jira) and integration with DevOps tools like Bitbucket, Bamboo, or Jenkins.
- Solid understanding of DevOps processes, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to adapt solutions to a technical environment.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Familiarity with investment firm or financial services industry preferred but not required.
