Position Overview:
Pantheon is seeking a technical project manager who will be in a client facing role, working with a project director, delivering on projects for federal government clients. The Project Manager is a critical role on each project. This position provides support for our contracts involving multiple client stakeholders, a multi-disciplinary internal team, and partner organizations. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of a project by facilitating agile team processes, directing the work of integrated project teams, balancing multiple tasks, and ensuring transparency and communications with the client.
This person will directly contribute to program efforts in several areas, including cost management, schedule estimation and tracking, project resource management, contract performance management, risk management, requirements analysis, documentation, and quality assurance activities. This role ensures the proper performance of tasks necessary to provide the most efficient and effective execution of the contract and excellent delivery to the clients.
Responsibilities:
- Work management
- Manage the flow of work across multiple projects
- Manage resources against a schedule accommodating risk, status, and necessary dependencies
- Coordination
- Lead regularly scheduled and ad hoc internal project meetings, and run daily stand-up meetings.
- Work in-real-time and asynchronously to triage the flow of work toward high-quality completion
- Manage subcontractors, including coordinating project deliverables
- Utilize automation and online tools for effective coordination across project participants
- Project Management
- Create and manage the project management plan
- Track and report on project status, including budget expenditure to internal management and clients
- Track and maintain contractual obligations
- Identify project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and manage risk communication with stakeholders to minimize impact on timelines and deliverables.
- Scope project solutions and define approaches that align with available budget, ensuring project goals are met within financial constraints while maximizing value and efficiency
- Continual improvement and updating of process documentation
- Schedule and lead a variety of meetings including client meetings, subcontractor meetings and team meetings
- Communications
- Serve as the point of contact for project stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, milestones, and issues. Prepare and deliver reports and presentations as needed.
- Effectively manage client expectations with regard to budget, scope, and timing
- Solutioning and Delivery
- Create requirements as documented user stories
- Facilitate implementation through iterative issue clarification, elaboration, and resolution
- Ensure projects adhere to IT and organizational standards, including security, compliance, and regulatory requirements
- Implement best practices in infrastructure design and deployment to maintain system reliability and performance
- Lead the management efforts for infrastructure upgrades, minimizing disruption to operations
- Ensure team delivers on client deadlines.
Required Skills and Characteristics:
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure components such as servers, storage, networking, firewalls, virtualization, and cloud computing (e.g., AWS). Familiarity with infrastructure monitoring, ATO process, and related management tools.
- Client management skills, including management of expectations, risk, scope, budget, resources, and communications
- Flexible with proven ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Embody and foster a collaborative working environment within project teams that is based on mutual respect, trust, and a passion for quality and continual improvement
- Strong leadership, diplomatic and motivational skills including the ability to lead up, across and down multiple business and technology organizations
- Delivery/results focused, while collaborating with team members and the client
- Experience with Agile and Scrum
- Ability to create concise, plain language documentation of requirements to be understood by both technical and business stakeholders
- Ability to balance multiple activities
- Proficiency with MS Office, Smartsheet, Jira, Confluence, and CRM tools
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university
- 5+ years of project management experience in managing projects involving health data analysis, research, and infrastructure support.

- Understanding of LAN/WAN, VPN, load balancers, and enterprise network security Experience in managing healthcare data analytics
- Experience planning and implementing disaster recovery and business continuity solutions
- Familiarity with security principles, compliance standards, and best practices related to infrastructure
