The Vehicle System Integration team at Client delivers System Design, System Integration Analysis, and Electrical Architectures required to achieve a high level of system reliability on vehicles.
As the Vehicle Controls Technical Program Manager (TPM), you will develop the vehicle features and functions (Jira -EPICs) road map, identify with stakeholders or product owners responsible for down road stories (FW , HW and validation) to support project milestones.
This is a highly cross-functional role, requiring constant communication with FW, SW, HW, vehicle integration, product, and mission planning teams; a key task is to propagate lessons learned among these teams to improve efficiency and execution of subsequent development phases.
Responsibilities
Ownership of vehicle controls management document. Control function high level requirement and maturity target for Client Firmware release milestone, status of true indicating level of firmware for each vehicle and firmware release milestone
You will be responsible to drive regular meetings with representatives for each vehicle development area to identify progress , roadblocks and its required actions to bring the timeline back to track.
You will communicate challenges and identify program risks while proactively developing mitigation plans
You will develop new or improve existing processes to overcome unique and unforeseen challenges.
You will work with cross-functional teams, both internal and external, to drive open questions or issues to closure.
You will establish standard reports to provide concise and effective communications to key stakeholders on program status, issues/risks, and accomplishments and present them to the executive team.
Qualifications:
BS or MS in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience (Control, EE or Mechatronics, preferably)
At least 5 years experience managing automotive firmware development
At least 3 years of experience with vehicle control function validation
Track record in managing complex cross-functional projects
Proficient in tools required to manage complex projects (i.e., JIRA, Gantt charts)
Ability to keep the big picture in focus and to provide clear, well-structured, and concise communications tailored to each appropriate audience
SW development methodology , i.e., ASPICE
AGILE Base knowledge
Bonus Qualifications:
Automotive application control function developer experience
Base SW structure knowledgement
Experience with CAN, LIN, or ethernet and/or bring-up of complicated systems
Passion for electric, autonomous mobility
