Meta is seeking a Technical Program Manager (TPM) with experience managing software product adoption of new server technologies at scale. This Technical Program Manager position will work with cross-functional teams in Meta’s Infrastructure organization to support efficient adoption of new hardware products supporting our Compute, Storage, and AI/ML workloads. This position would focus on creating and executing strategies to enable Meta’s various large software workloads to onboard next-generation server platforms. This role would be responsible for successful hardware product adoption end-to-end; this includes defining capacity abstractions and working with software teams on optimizing workloads to enable efficient adoption of new hardware across our data center fleet. This role would work with software product, performance benchmarking, hardware development, capacity, deployment and Data Center teams. This would include understanding software workload requirements & bottlenecks, working with software teams to define requirements around testing, hardware availability, buffering, and distribution across Meta’s data center fleet. Meta’s Infrastructure Engineering organization is responsible for the growth, management and 24x7 upkeep of all Meta’s products and services.

Technical Program Manager Responsibilities:
- Lead technical program management to define our Infrastructure Hardware strategy for supporting emerging experiences centered around the Metaverse. This role is within Meta’s Infrastructure organization
- this is a matrix organization covering a range of areas (Data Center, Network, Hardware Systems, Infrastructure Engineering, Software Engineering, Capacity Management) and across multiple physical locations.
- Own overall program success spanning the end-to-end adoption of the hardware products. This includes defining overall adoption plans, understanding customer ecosystem and requirements, identifying dependencies around new data center region enablement, define and track software validation requirements, and alignment with capacity ordering teams to enable successful launch of new hardware products at scale.
- Support hardware platforms through ‘general availability’ launch to the entire Meta infrastructure fleet. Create mapping of critical software customers to be onboarded, bucketizing by workload constraints, and working to prioritize enablement work against constrained people and hardware resources.

- Develop and manage the overall program including defining scope, requirements, development model, schedules, and deliverables with engineering teams, partners, and stakeholders.
- Influence broader roadmaps through product interception and market fit, competitive analysis, and feasibility studies
- Provide hands-on program management during analysis, benchmarking, design, development, testing, implementation, and post implementation phases.
- Engage in product management in collaboration with Engineering counterparts to define product roadmaps.
- Perform risk assessment, risk mitigation and change management on projects.
- Provide day-to-day coordination and quality assurance for projects and tasks.
- Drive internal process improvements across multiple teams and functions.
- Manage and drive strategic vendor engagement and deliveries.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Qualifications:
- B.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of systems engineering, hardware engineering, software engineering, or technical product/program management experience.
- Understanding of software service level bottlenecks and requirements
- Experience delivering tech programs or products from inception to delivery.
- Knowledge of user needs, gathering requirements, and defining scope.
- Experience operating autonomously across multiple teams, demonstrated critical thinking, and thought leadership.
- Communication experience and experience working with technical management teams to develop systems, solutions, and products.
- Organizational, coordination and multi-tasking experience.
- Analytical and problem-solving experience with large-scale systems.
- Experience establishing work relationships across multi-disciplinary teams and multiple partners in different time zones.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of server systems, CPU and or SoC, and memory.
- Experience in hardware project life cycle management.
- Experience with data center architecture and deployment.
- Experience working with ODM’s and other vendors.
- Web or Internet start-up environment and technical infrastructure management experience.
