- 10 years of technical program management experience.
- 7 years of experience in leadership roles with direct reports.
Preferred qualifications:
- 10 years of experience in the telecommunications industry.
- 5 years of experience in a field engineering leadership role.
- Experience in a continuous improvement role, implementing process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) to drive efficiency and scale.
- Knowledge of networking technologies, including IP/MPLS, optical transport, data center networking and operations, and wireless technologies.
- Ability to lead and inspire geographically dispersed teams, build relationships, and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and strategic thinking/planning skills, with the ability to translate business objectives into initiatives.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.Using your extensive technical and leadership expertise, you manage various Engineering-specific programs and teams.
In this role, you will be responsible for leading a distributed team of engineers who are focused in delivering and supporting Google’s networking solutions. You will measure and monitor team performance against SLAs and drive continuous improvement in the processes and performance driving toward interval, quality, and cost metrics.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $214,000-$305,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive strategic idea for the North America Network Delivery Implementation (NDI) Field Engineering organization, aligning with overall department and company goals and objectives.
- Identify and implement innovative solutions to optimize field engineering processes, improve operational efficiency, and accelerate project delivery.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders across various internal and external organizations and internal teams (e.g., Sales, Product Development, Network Operations, CSCO, DCNiCON) to ensure project execution and drive strategic initiatives.
- Identify, mentor, and develop high-potential engineers, establish clear performance metrics, and provide regular feedback to drive individual and team performance.
- Drive scalability, continuous improvement, and consistent delivery against SLAs without compromising operational safety and the customer experience.
