The Microsoft Azure Core host and fundamentals team builds and manages the software infrastructure underpinning the Azure IaaS and PaaS Compute offerings (Azure Cloud Services and Azure Virtual Machines). These capabilities form both our public Azure compute platform as well as the foundation of service offerings across Microsoft. We are looking for a proficient **Technical Program Manager II** to drive highly impactful cross-organization initiatives encompassing the Azure application lifecycle, app availability and reliability. As a Technical Program Management Specialist in Azure core, you will be central to key Cloud & Enterprise division initiatives on customer experience / availability and platform competitiveness. This opportunity will allow you to propel Azure to meet scale and availability targets that don't exist in the industry today.

**Responsibilities**
As a Technical Program Manager II you should have:

**Responsibilities:**
+ Build partnerships and work across organizational boundaries to accomplish shared customer-centric KPIs and track improvement against those goals
+ Work with customers and partner teams to design architecture aimed at solving complex customer needs
+ Execute on, and participate in defining, a roadmap for achieving industry leading key performance indicators (KPIs) that measure direct customer experiences.
+ Contribute to developing systems and processes that are better tomorrow than today, with a focus on reducing redundant work and empowering teams to take productive action

**Qualifications**
**R** **equired Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's Degree AND 2+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
+ OR equivalent experience.
+ 1+ year(s) of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
**Other Requirements:**
+ Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:?
+ Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
+ OR equivalent experience.
+ 1+ year(s) of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
+ 1+ year(s) of experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos).
Technical Program Management IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,300 - $182,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $120,900 - $198,600 per year.
