Technical Program Manager
Location: Foster City, CA

Description:
The Program Management Office (PMO) at Client is responsible for driving cross-functional program planning and execution at the highest level. We partner with leaders from across the company in vehicle development, system design, software engineering, manufacturing, fleet operations, and business functions to develop and deliver major corporate milestones on the path to launch, and beyond. Our program managers contribute to the end-to-end success of technical, integrated product milestones involving both of our vehicle platforms - the Toyota Highlander test fleet and client purpose-built rob taxi.
The Technical Program Manager for Robot Platform on PMO is a seasoned program management expert that will be responsible for planning and execution of technical projects for our vehicle platforms spanning from configuration management, bug tracking to tracking corporate level KPIs. This person will work closely within the PMO team and cross functionally with leaders across hardware, firmware, software, safety, operations, manufacturing and systems integration to structure, plan, and execute projects. The right candidate will have experience in change management or configuration management processes, has background and experience in process development and is comfortable working & automating with tools such as Jira, confluence, Looker, google suite (google sheet / google doc), etc
Responsibilities
Proficient in tools or processes required to manage complex projects i.e. JIRA, google suite, Looker, Gantt chart, risk matrix, Smartsheet, Confluence, Jira, etc.
Excellent written, presentation and verbal communication skills are a must, ability to create visualizations of KPIs and program risks with concise summaries of complex topics
Configuration management: manage and compare various configurations, maintain configuration dashboards and documentations
Change Control: Managing the Change Control process for various domains and documentation
Risk Register: Risk register management and follow ups
Bug/Issue tracking and resolution, reporting using dashboards
Proficient in running project management tasks like meeting minutes, reporting, follow up on actions and establishing standard reports.
Qualifications
BS or MS degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience
7+ years of experience in engineering, program management, or management consulting with a focus on product launches
Bonus Qualifications
PMP certified or equivalent
Experience with autonomous vehicles, test platforms, and automotive or aerospace processes is highly desired
Experience with developing and scaling strategy, processes, plans, procedures & reporting.
