About the Job
The Sr. Project Manager will contribute to client s success by leading, documenting and contributing to projects, processes, and/or programs that improve profitability, reduce costs, streamline operations, or enhance service to the business and customers. You will collaborate effectively with cross-functional business and technology development teams to solve problems and implement new solutions.
Main Responsibilities:
" Assembles key players on the project team and nurtures internal working relationships across the enterprise which fosters the development of cross functional teamwork. Delegates project responsibilities and task interfaces, directs, motivates, and manages the project work and resources involved within the project. Ensures timely activity, integration and productivity of technical support and administers efficient use of resources to meet requirements with clear identification of task completion.
" Facilitates creation of work breakdown structures, develops, and updates project schedules/plans with actual and forecasted deliverables and manages deviations from plan. Analyzes validity of schedules submitted by outside parties contributing to the project. Distributes schedules and details to suit different users or audiences. Monitors actual project progress, compares to baseline, and reports progress against schedule. Documents, obtains approvals, and tracks all changes in project parameters. Produces detailed reports and notifications as appropriate and communicates project status to respective stakeholders and project sponsor.
" Identifies Risks in projects and uses proven PM techniques to assess and mitigate. Facilitates project risk reviews and appropriate mitigation. Examines risks associated with the work, proposed contracts, and major changes, and makes recommendations for handling or equitable sharing. Forecasts the impacts on schedule of proposed changes and reports impact to project team, sponsor, and management.
" Attends and/or host management and project team meetings keeping the project team informed and progressing including project reviews with stakeholders as necessary to perform ongoing assessments on the progress of projects.
" Facilitates the creation of the project charter and examine project related technical documentation for completeness and latest versions and insure availability and distribution to all project team members. Insures required document review and approvals according to company standards and processes. Upon project completion or premature cessation, closes all project documentation and Clienthives actual appropriate records and achievements for estimating future similar projects. Coordinates practical details of the transfer of the care, custody and control of the final product including assembly and transfer of operational and maintenance documentation.
" Also responsible for other Duties/Projects as assigned by management as needed
Qualifications:
" Bachelor s Degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Computer Science, or a combination of equivalent experience and education
" PMP certified Preferred
Minimum Requirements:
" 5 years Industry experience as a program or product manager within a technology environment. (required)
" Experience working on projects in a wireless industry (preferred)
